ICE AND SNOW: GLACIER NATIONAL PARK

After working for years with archival visual records on the painting project, Politics of Snow, it was time to fly over and climb on glaciers once more as I had previously done in Iceland and Alaska. Glacier National Park in Montana was the ideal location to capture the drama of the ice before it all melts away. At the turn of the century there were 150 glaciers there - now only 25 remain.
